Core wire is a kind of composite material used in molten steel or iron liquid, mainly consisting of some kinds of additives (deoxidizer, desulfurization agent, inoculant, alloy, etc.). It is inserted into molten steel or iron liquid by using a low carbon steel belt with an arbitrary length. During injection, calcium metal in the center will melt into molten steel liquid or iron liquid. It will then combine with it to create a solid metallurgical composition. This is a key liquid metal processing technology for steel and castiron production. It improves metallurgical properties, reduces energy consumption, increases productivity, and reduces environmental pollution.

It is an arc-furnace, EAF, or VDOS melting wire with a stable core at high temperatures. It is a good deoxidizer and enables the removal of inclusions in the liquid steel and ensures the purity of the steel composition. It also allows controlled desulfurization, and precise alloying of the molten stainless steel. This can lead to an optimal liquid steel chemical makeup and casting state.

Cored wire is made from combining two types of steel: an inner calcium-silicon core and an outer steel strip. The outer steel strip is abrasion-resistant and resistant to acid corrosion, which protects the molten steel from the damaging effects of air and other substances. The core, which is made of high-purity electrolytic calcium metal, combines with the molten steel at a temperature over 1600degC, and is able to absorb the maximum amount of silicon and calcium from the molten metal.

Moreover, the steel cages are able to support long-term storage and can be easily inspected when they are delivered to our customers.
