In the process of melting steel, a significant amount of calcium is required to control the reaction between slags and molten metal. It can be added directly to the molten iron in a hot-casting facility using cored wires or sprayed with an airgun into the slag. Spraying can generate a lot more dust than the addition technique, but it is also inefficient. Cored Wires are an efficient and economical way to deliver calcium in the molten Steel, especially for large-scale steel production with a complex structure or high iron content.
