This is an alloy-steel deoxidizer used to refine secondary steel in processes like desulfurization. This product has high performance, high cost-effectiveness and high calcium recovery. By using a wire injection system, the encapsulated metal-calcium wire with steel sheath is introduced into the molten alloy for the purposes of deoxidation (desulfurization), inclusion modification and deoxidation.
Calcium is introduced deep within the molten iron to melt, dissolve and react with other impurities, such as sulfur, inclusions or oxygen. It is more effective than powder feeding, in terms of metalurgical performance. This method results in an even greater reaction of Ca to oxides and inclusions. Pure Ca is flammable at high temperature due to its low density and very low boiling point.
During normal operation, the nozzle will not be blocked by the formation of long strips of sulfide. As a result, the purity of the molten steel is increased and the anisotropy of the molten steel is improved.
